Azure
An Azure Kingfisher takes a break after fishing in a small lake.
I often visit this lake to watch the ducks and grebes and one day noticed a very small flash of brilliant blue out off the corner of my eye. It was the Azure Kingfisher darting from one side to the other. I was lucky on this occasion to be set up right next to one of its favoured perching spots and it literally landed right near me.
Such stunning little birds and always a delight to see.
